Johnny Labelle, VASSIŁINA, In Atlas live at Romantso

JOHNNY LABELLE

Having been described as a "deranged Frank Sinatra" and “like he came out of the Twin Peaks' Roadhouse Club,” Johnny Labelle’s dark, introspective, and romantic musical world draws influences from a variety of musical styles: from dream and ambient pop to post-punk and 50's love ballads.

The Athenian singer-songwriter and producer released his debut album "Cold Fruit" independently in 2019. It was co-produced with director Aaron Khandros and included multidisciplinary collaborations - Berlin pop artist Magic Island, poet Rae Armantrout, and filmmakers Martha Colburn, Zachary Epcar, and Karissa Hahn.

In 2020, just one year after the release of his first LP, Johnny Labelle released his second album “XVIII” on Inner Ear Records in collaboration with producer Vassilis Dokakis, who is also a founding member of the band No Clear Mind.

Labelle has performed live throughout the European continent and has shared the stage with artists such as Sean Nicholas Savage, Mega Bog, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, and Discovery Zone, to name a few.

His new album “May Your Dreams Come True” was released in 2023 by Inner Ear Records.

VASSIŁINA

Originally from Greece and based between London and Athens, VASSIŁINA composes pieces that balance pop aesthetics with dark electronic influences. She presents a live punk melancholic soundscape, with references from electro-pop and avant-pop; With a strong stage presence,  intense delay, field recordings, and dramatic polyphonic vocals  VASSIŁINA stumbles between chaos and dance music..

In May 2021, she released her debut LP “Fragments”by  Inner Ear Records.After the release of her debut album, she headlined various shows in the UK and Greece, including headlining at The Shacklewell Arms (LND), and played in festivals such as Pride Athens, In-edit, So Alive Showcase (BG), Athens Digital Art Festival, Athens Music Week and In-Orbit organised by SNFCC and other. She was nominated for HEMI Awards in 2023.

She has collaborated with other greek electronic artists such as Die Arkitekt, Capette, NTENTENIS and Metaman as well as with international artist such as  Kadebostany .They released their first single “Lovelace” on October 2022. Since 2023, she has been on tour with Kadebostany, performing in major festivals and venues all over Europe.

In Atlas

Copenhagen born In Atlas makes emotionally charged synthpop, with a sort of dark-disco vibe and draped in a deep formative love of punk and its derivatives. It is a seething beauty and blasts of longing, it is wildfire and its brittle remains. On stage is where you want her. In Atlas in an explosive performer, her sets often tailored for the occasion. She is also one half of Athens-based post-punk outfit V.V.I.A., sharing the project with her musical partner Venus Volcanism. 

In Atlas has released music on Women of V.V.I.A., ØEN REC, Meta Moto, Phormix, Vinylograph and Janushoved.
