‘Creative Explorations’ conference will explore the impact of digital technologies on how we connect with and relate to each other

Connect for Creativity’s third and final networking conference titled ‘Creative Explorations: how digital is changing the way relate to each other’ will take place in Athens, Greece on 2 and 3 April at Romantso. The two-day conference, which will host many prominent speakers from Greece, Serbia, Turkey and the UK, will be open to public and free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs of a limited number of participants will be covered by the project. Applications can be submitted through Connect for Creativity website and the deadline is 20 February.

Connect for Creativity project, led by the British Council, in collaboration with ATÖLYE and Abdullah Gül University in Turkey, Bios in Greece and Nova Iskra in Serbia, is currently running an open call to apply for its third and last networking conference. The conference titled ‘Creative Explorations: how digital is changing the way relate to each other’ will take place in Athens, Greece on 2 and 3 April at Romantso and will bring together academics, artists, creative and cultural professionals and policy makers.

Can creative industries and new technologies be used for greater social good?

The conference, which will host many pioneering academics, entrepreneurs and culture professional as speakers from Greece, Serbia, Turkey and the UK, will focus on the convergence between creative industries and digital technologies and explore its impact on the way we connect with and relate to each other.

The two-day sessions will focus on the digital shift taking place in cultural and creative sectors in a world where digital has pervaded every part of our lives. The conference will examine the advantages that these new technologies provide to make culture more accessible, engaging and life-enhancing and how these advantages can be translated into greater social good through creativity.


By bringing together creative and cultural professionals, start-ups, brands, local, national and international actors from the digital technology communities and policy
makers in Athens, ‘Creative Explorations’ conference aims to enable exchange of information, opinion and experience and foster new collaborations amongst participants from Greece, Serbia, Turkey, the UK and beyond through workshops, group sessions, keynotes and panel discussions.

Open call for participation to ‘Creative Explorations’ conference

All academics, artists, creatives, technologists, creative and cultural professionals and policy makers across the UK, Europe and Western Balkans can participate in the
conference by applying the open call. Travel to and from Athens and up to two nights’
accommodation in Athens will be covered by the project. The participants will finance the other expenses on their own.

Participants can apply to the conference through connectforcreativity.eu website; the
deadline for applications is Thursday, 20 February until 23:59.

Conference will be open to public and free of charge. Those who wish to participate in the conference at their own expense, must register through connectforcreativity.eu website.
